I understand what it is like to find life a struggle or experience symptoms which make if difficult to live the life you want to. If you choose to work with me, we will embark on a journey of self-discovery where I will help you to identify and understand the root cause of your issues and any underlying trauma.

Trauma is any stressful event which impacts on your emotions and affects your nervous system.  Losing a loved one, being bullied, having surgery, going through divorce or separation, difficult or unhealthy relationships, moving house, children leaving home, a pet dying, being involved in an accident, or witnessing a traumatic event, are just some examples of events which can impact on your emotions, your mind, and your body.

I can help you understand how to manage and improve symptoms which affect your behaviour and can contribute to stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, insomnia and many more conditions. I work with clients at their own pace, to help them understand why they feel and act the way they do. Our ultimate goal is for you to achieve root cause resolution and heal inside both your body and your mind.

I have worked as a children’s counsellor in several schools and am experienced in supporting children from the age of four with challenging issues including bereavement, anxiety, depression, abuse, anger, self-harm, low mood, self-esteem, body image, relationship/friendship issues, school issues, family conflicts, sexuality and gender identity.

I incorporate age-appropriate, creative, play therapy to help children and young people explore, recognise, and understand their feelings and emotions and teach tools and coping strategies to help them better manage their emotional responses.

I adopt an integrative approach and combine psychotherapeutic counselling with mindfulness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and body-based techniques such as hypnotherapy, brainspotting and somatic belief reprogramming. The techniques I use very much depend on the individual and each client is provided with a toolbox of resources, strategies and coping mechanisms they can use when required.

I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space to support and encourage people of all ages on their individual journeys. I am friendly, client-centred, empathetic, professional, open in my approach and passionate about helping people live their best lives. I offer face to face sessions from a lovely clinic in Cheshire and virtual sessions over zoom.

My clients are important to me, and I always go the extra mile to encourage them on their unique healing journeys. Please get in touch and discover how I can help you move forward with your life.
